Dr. Sooriyakala Sreekumar M.D, D.G.O, FRCOG is Medical Director at Sooriya Hospitals and the Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
She is one of the Top Gynaecologists in Chennai.
Her experience in the field spans almost 30 years of which she spent 10 years in the United Kingdom making her the Best Gynaecologist in Chennai.
Her innovative ideas for non-medicalising pregnancy as much as possible have struck a chord among pregnant women who have greatly benefitted over the years.

Dr. Rajiv Sreekumar completed his undergraduate medical degree in the U.K and then specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
He completed his MRCOG (UK) and then completed his seven year intensive training programme in the U.K, CCT (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) before returning to Chennai in 2017.
During his training in the UK he undertook a 2 year specialist training programme in Advanced Laparoscopy for Gynaecology at a BSGE accredited Endometriosis Centre where he achieved expertise in the surgical management of Endometriosis.
With his laparoscopic expertise he firmly believes that the best surgical approach is keyhole as it gives better results with a quicker recovery.
In order to provide a holistic treatment for women who struggled with infertility he also trained in IVF at Homerton University Hospital’s Fertility Department in the UK.
He is currently heading the IVF department at Sooriya Hospital.
He intends to make Sooriya hospital the Best Fertility Hospital in Chennai.
He is also a fully trained Obstetrician and forms part of the hospital’s 24 hr Maternity team.
